I left Hoi An only a few days after our goodbye party. Me and Cecilie travelled together, first night spent in a nice hotel in Da Nang before our flight to Bali, Denpasar. We booked a few nights in Uluwatu at the south coast. I did not take too many pictures, however, I have collected some really nice memories from that place that include; Cecilie, Sun, Single fin, Sunset, dancing under the stars, surf-vibe, ocean, organic food, as well as clean and comfortable beds. just what I needed after some intensive weeks of studying.

We moved up to Kuta one evening to try out the party-life and some shopping. We only stayed for one night before we left for beautiful Ubud. We chilled out and enjoyed overload of pretty nature, tried out a lot of Indonesian food. Also, we rented bikes and visited waterfalls where we went swimming. We went to see some monkeys in the monkey-forest. I even got attacked by one of them, which was a bit scary and fun at the same time. One of the days we went for some shopping at the local market, tried out organic food as well as some delicious coconut ice cream. The city also abounds of cool stores with organic products and exciting Indonesian brands.

Next up was Lombok and the Gili Islands. Both of us loved the chill vibe at Gili Air! We extended our stay at least three days because of the good atmosphere. We had booked a cool plays, and most of the days went by with relaxation at the beach and some readings. However, suddenly the stress got us. I wish we had more days to explore the underwater life as well as the mainland of Lombok. But we had to start thinking about our exam. We decided to book an apartment in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia trough Airbnb. We wanted to be able to cook our own food and focus on the writings. Some of the days went really fast and we almost forgot to eat. However, we also went to see Petronas towers, some of the huge shopping malls and tried out Indian, Pakistani and Malaysian food. But most of the time we wrote our exam. I feel that it always takes forever to get a good structure in the paper. Also, it takes time, longer than first expected. I wanted to get done by Sunday, however I still did some work on Monday and could finally submit. Best exam tips, buy in some snacks and put on a good playlist that make you focus.

Now, done with kulturstudier, and 10 months abroad, it has been great! After some more travelling in Malaysia and Singapore I will be back in Norway celebrating our constitution day! I’m excited!
