Noel Sampson
Noel Sampson is a Nicaraguan architect and urban planner focused on development cooperation, urban development, sustainable architecture and housing. Noel has developed research on climate change resilience of poor urban communities in Vietnamese and Nicaraguan cities, worked with the UN-Habitat office in Mongolia on slum upgrading, with Campus in Camps in Palestinian refugee camps in the West Bank and supported the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe in Geneva, Switzerland. Noel holds a Master degree in International Cooperation and Urban Development from the Technological University of Darmstadt in Germany and the International University of Catalunya in Barcelona. Additionally, he has advanced studies on housing development, program management and disaster risk reduction in Sweden, the Netherlands and Switzerland, respectably. Noel is co-founder of Emerge, an innovative firm that tackles development challenges of Nicaraguan and Latin American cities.
